My interpretation of this law is that if a case is brought before the court, and the complainant cannot prove that the defendant is guilty, the plaintiff will be put to death if the charge s brought up against the defendant are of a capital offense. I think this is a good law because it probably had an extremely positive set up on the honesty of the Babylonian citizens. In my opinion, it may reserve also brought great morals, honor, and integrity to the entire city of Babylon as well.
