When Reading both passages I noticed that both Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson make use of their numberss to communicate with their consultation. It is as if both authors knew that their developments would last for generations. They both project to their audience as if trying to describe their cities and their times and their repute to the people they assume are reading their poems.
